About Us - ETNCN's Brand Story
My name is Li Hanming, a middle-aged woman who once had a successful career and harmonious family. My life was filled with busyness and accomplishments. As a corporate executive, I handled workplace challenges with ease; at home, my husband and I jointly maintained a warm household, with our child receiving quality education. However, as time passed, this seemingly carefree woman gradually became aware of an intangible pressure quietly growing, while latent crises in daily life increasingly manifested.
Ⅰ. The Weight of Midlife
At 46, I found myself navigating the pivotal transition of middle age. The compounding pressures of career demands, escalating family responsibilities, and an ever-shifting social landscape left me adrift in uncertainty about the future. The emotional connection that had sustained my marriage through years of mutual devotion gradually dissolved beneath the weight of daily trivialities and accumulated exhaustion. What once burned as vibrant passion had faded into a lukewarm routine. In the stillness of midnight, waves of ineffable loneliness would surge from depths I couldn't articulate, while the relentless grind of professional life and domestic burdens manifested physically as chronic fatigue and a cascade of low-grade health issues.
I exhausted every modern remedy—cognitive behavioral therapy sessions, comprehensive medical screenings, nutraceutical regimens, even mindfulness-based retreats. Yet neither the emotional detachment nor persistent physical symptoms showed substantial improvement through these interventions. Each temporary respite only underscored the untouched root causes, deepening my sense of futility and learned helplessness.
Ⅱ. The Unexpected Awakening
When despair neared its peak, a serendipitous encounter unveiled new horizons. On a drizzly twilight, I sought solace in a teahouse's tranquility, hoping the aroma of oolong might calm my spirit. There I met Dao Xuanzi – a Taoist master draped in indigo linen, whose measured movements and penetrating serenity radiated timeless wisdom. Her gaze, both compassionate and resolute, seemed to hold blueprints for alternative existences.
Our conversation flowed beyond recollection, yet her words crystallized in my memory:
"The cosmos follows its Dao; all beings share sacred essence. Humanity thrives not apart from nature, but through harmonizing inner stillness with life's rhythm."
This revelation struck like temple bells at dawn. I committed to studying traditional Chinese feng shui and Taoist wellness under her guidance. Initial skepticism dissolved as weeks revealed profound equanimity I'd never known. Through her teachings, I discovered how spatial configurations invisibly shape emotional well-being, and how Taoist principles like "flowing with natural rhythms" and "gentle perseverance overcomes rigid force" hold transformative power for mind-body alignment.
Ⅲ. Reclaiming Wholeness
Following that fateful encounter, I began implementing ancient wisdom into modern living through meticulous environmental design. Guided by Dao Xuanzi's principles, I curated every domestic element – from living room decor alignment to bedroom spatial flow, down to botanical selection in our courtyard. This intentional crafting of harmonious energy flow became my somatic therapy, gradually mending both psychological wounds and physical depletion.
My daily ritual now integrates Taoist practices: dawn meditation in the garden's energy vortex, breathwork synced with circadian rhythms, and Tai Chi movements dissolving muscular tension. Evening walks with my husband through urban greenbelts transformed into moving meditation, where we breathed in the forest's phytoncides and rediscovered silenced dialogues.
The wisdom proved multidimensional. Our rebalanced habitat dissolved 80% of my chronic fatigue symptoms within three lunar cycles, while shared spatial mindfulness practice restored marital intimacy lost to digital-age distraction. I came to understand how environmental dissonance amplifies existential anxiety, and how Taoist wu wei (non-forcing action) allows life force (qi) to rebuild neural pathways organically. The most profound healing emerged not from effort, but from surrendering to nature's intelligent design.
Ⅳ. The establishment of ETNCN
After going through this transformation, a brand new idea began to emerge in my mind: since traditional Feng Shui practices and Taoist wellness techniques can be so effective in easing the challenges of modern life, why not share this wisdom with more people? With a deep love for traditional culture and a genuine understanding of the struggles faced by modern city dwellers, I decided to create the brand ETNCN.
ETNCN stands for "Eastern Tradition New Chinese," with the aim of blending the rich traditions of Chinese Feng Shui and Taoist culture with modern life. Our goal is to offer city residents a fresh approach to restoring balance and harmony from the inside out.
From the very beginning, I embraced the core principles of "heritage, innovation, and sharing" when establishing the brand. I gathered a group of experts, scholars, seasoned Taoist priests, and health consultants who were well-versed in traditional culture and wellness practices to explore how we could organically integrate ancient wisdom with modern technology. After extensive testing and adjustments, ETNCN gradually launched a series of services that combine traditional wellness concepts with the needs of contemporary life. From home Feng Shui consultations and optimizing living environments to personalized health guidance and mental wellness courses, each program is designed to provide clients with a place of peace amidst the fast-paced rhythm of urban life.
In the early days, many clients were skeptical about Feng Shui and Taoist wellness, questioning the scientific basis of these methods. However, as more and more people experienced inner peace and improvements in their physical and mental well-being, the reputation of ETNCN grew. Urban professionals, entrepreneurs, and everyday citizens from all walks of life began to share how they regained the tranquility and confidence they had lost due to the pressures of busy living, thanks to the solutions provided by ETNCN.
I often say, "True health is not just the absence of physical pain, but the peace of mind and spiritual abundance."
Ⅴ. Fulfilling the Mission
As our brand's influence continues to grow, we have partnered with numerous overseas organizations that share an interest in Eastern culture. I deeply believe that the appeal of traditional culture lies in its universality and inclusiveness. Regardless of the changes in time, the wisdom regarding nature, life, and harmony always holds irreplaceable value. I am convinced that with continuous exploration and innovation, ancient wisdom can shine anew in modern life, helping every individual lost in the hustle and bustle of the city find peace of mind.
Today, ETNCN has gradually become a well-known wellness brand both domestically and internationally, impacting countless people seeking inner balance and overall well-being. My personal experience has proven that traditional culture and modern life are not opposing forces but can complement each other, together creating a more harmonious and beautiful lifestyle. Looking to the future, I am full of confidence and eager to continue innovating and working hard so that more people can benefit from this unique and profound wellness system, allowing ancient Eastern wisdom to shine even brighter in modern society.
As I often tell my team: "When we transform ancient wisdom into a force that helps others, our mission has been fulfilled."
